SoftSpot was created by parents who were trained at Johns Hopkins, Dr. Freya and Dr. Reza, based on their personal experience as parents with their own child, Ryan. Ryan is now 8 and helps his parents with raising awareness about SoftSpot!

Freya Aalamifar (PhD)

Founder & COO

Freya has a PhD from Johns Hopkins University and work experience at the Children's Hospital and National Institutes of Health. She has a passion for bringing technology to childcare and founded PediaMetrix out of a personal experience as a mother.

Dr. Reza Seifabadi (PhD)

Co-founder & CEO

Reza has extensive background in medical device field and brings 10 years of work experience at NIH, Johns Hopkins, and Children's Hospital of Washington DC. He was trained as an entrepreneur in medical device industry and is inventor of 7 US patents.

Marius G. Linguraru (DPhil)

Co-founder & CIO

Marius has successfully guided scientific innovation to clinical applications as Principal Investigator at Children's National and Professor at George Washington University. He specialized in quantitative medical imaging at Oxford, Harvard and the NIH, and loves working with teams of clinicians, scientists and engineers to help children grow healthy and happy.

Hossein Hezaveh (PhD)

Co-founder

Hossein has a PhD from Princeton University with years of experience in algorithm development and validation. He is passionate about making a difference in children's life.

Susan Sirota (MD, FAAP)

Clinical Advisor

Dr. Sirota is a board certified pediatrician in Chicago with 30 years of experience and affiliation with multiple hospitals in the area. She is the CEO of PediaTrust, a collection of 12 practices with 80 providers.

ÖZGÜR GÜLER (PhD)

Technology Advisor

Özgür Güler is currently co-founder and CTO of eKare, a pioneer and leader in digital wound assessment with offices in Europe and US. He is an imaging scientist turned entrepreneur specializing in 3D wound imaging and computer vision.

Alon Mozes (PhD)

Business Advisor

He is the founder and CEO of Neocis, the company that has introduced the first FDA-cleared robot for dental surgery. In his role, he has raised $170m for Neocis and led the company from an idea to a leader in dental robotics with over 150 employees.

Kevon Saber (MBA)

Business Advisor

Kevon has an MBA from Stanford University and is the former CEO of GoCheck. With a background in pediatric customer acquisition, he was on Silicon Valley's 40 under 40 list and sold a mobile computer vision app to over 6000 pediatricians.

Mike Sinsheimer (MBA)

Business Advisor

Mike holds an MBA from NYU Stern School of Business, and is the former Chairman and Co-founder of Mobius Imaging. He is also the former Co-founder and CEO of Cardan Robotics. In 2019, Stryker acquired both Mobius and Cardan Robotics for $500M.
